Running around again...
Monday we didn't have any running around to do so we got to stay home and relax. On Tuesday we had to meet with the mortgage woman and sign a lot of paperwork and then meet with Paulette to go over the details of the inspection. The closing costs came out to be 3500 more than we expected. We were constantly told that they would be about 6% of the house price. I have to call her to go over the details. We brought Jeremy with us and he was being a pain in the mortgage place but luckily she had a lot of toys in there. We were bouncing silly putty balls and he was colouring. After that we decided to go look at furniture at Country Junction (earlier in the day AJ and Jack told me they had an Ashley's furniture there). All they had were closeouts and they were all scratched and busted and there weren't many good deals to be had. On Wednesday we had to take Jeremy to the dentist. I wasn't originally going to go but decided to spend the extra time with them. When they came to get him, he was hiding under the chair and we had to pull him out. He threw a little fit but then he was good the rest of the time. Afterwards we went to eat at the mall. He ate almost a whole slice of pizza. I stopped in the clothes store to buy an outfit to go golfing in. Thursday morning Joe hooked me up. Thursday morning after work I went to my parents because Tim and I had made arrangements to hit some golf balls. He called me at about 230 and we left and hit three buckets of balls before going home. I kept topping out on them. Tim gave me his driver, which he said he never uses. I'd like to go back again and maybe even play a few holes. He's on vacation next week though. Friday morning at 830, Holly called me at work to tell me that Jeremy's eyes were swollen shut and to get home. I left and came home and we made a doctor's appointment. After waiting an hour, the doctor finally saw him and told us it was an allergic reaction to environment (as opposed to food). We stopped to get Benadryl on the way home. I slept a good eight hours that night, the first real good sleep I'd gotten for the week. On Saturday morning we went to get our mattress. Holly followed me to Daleville and then we took the van to Dickson City. I started flipping out because it was raining and made Holly cry. We made up and went to lunch at Old Country. Surprisingly, Jeremy even ate a hotdog and fries and spaghetti. We went to Sleepy's and bought the mattress. The guy tying it on the car kept telling me how good he was at tying. I gave him a 5 tip and off we went. I was nervous driving and kept my 4 ways on the whole time. I kept the speed at 45. It was windy and rainy and most of the interstate was 1 lane construction zone. We got to Daleville and Jeremy started saying that he saw the mattress out of the side window. I stopped and checked it out and the tie job was coming undone. The box spring was sliding all over the place. We got to meet spot which luckily had an Ace Hardware. We stopped in to get rope and I tied it down and I left. I stopped a few times on the way home to check it out but it didn't move at all after I tied it. Dad came home and we unloaded the mattress and put it upstairs. I watched a little of Rambo before going to sleep for 3 hours. Woke up and Tim called me. He came over and we drank and then hung out. I don't think I drank enough because I was just relaxed but not really fucked. All 3 of us played Smash and then I played GTA 4. He left soon after and I fooled around with GTA and on the computer before going to bed. It was my turn to drive but I asked if Ryan could drive and Tim did. I played fairly decent at hockey. All my passes to Tim seemed to be shit but the passes to others were better. I scored a few times and had a few assists. Came home and hung out. Played GTA for a long time and watched the rest of Rambo. We came home a bit earlier but unfortunately Jeremy woke up. Holly and I made love and went to sleep. She started work today and I hope to hear from her on her lunch. Hopefully she's having a good day.

Busy Week
Tuesday I went with Ryan to go look at guns. I told the kid I would buy him lunch because he was the one that was driving down there but when I met him at Wawa he was eating a meatball sandwich. He eats like a slob, stuffing his face real quick. We went and looked at the guns. I was set on getting something with a clip but the guy at the store told me to get something with in a revolver because it's too difficult for a woman to pull back a clip. After we looked the guns we went back to his house to fire off his gun. We walked all the way through the woods to get to his spot. It was really shrubby and he had to walk directly through shrubs and we got soaked because it rained earlier that day. We got there and he realized he forgot the ear plugs. We each fired off one shot (killed my ears) and then went back to the house. We went back to the spot and each fired off a clip before going back to the house. He showed me Metal Gear 4 and I wasn't too impressed with it, probably because it was a shitty level. On Wednesday Holly had to go sign papers at Paulette's and we had to drop off papers to the mortgage place. We took Jeremy to Mcdonalds on the way home. On Friday I had to go to the inspection. It turned out OK but there were some problems that we need to get fixed and other small things we'll have to fix ourselves. We're going to meet with Paulette tomorrow and we'll see what happens with it.
We ran around on Saturday after I got home from work. We planned on going to Nationwide Warehouse but when we got there they were out of business. We were both pretty pissed off. I stopped at Harbor Freight to get dad a grinder and then we went to lunch. We went to Uno's and everyone really liked the food there. Jeremy got a mini pizza and he enjoyed it. Holly got barbecue salmon and I got a chicken dish. Afterwards we stopped at Sleepy's who is having a discount mattress sale and we decided to get back there in the next few days to get a mattress. We walked into Pier 1 and walked right out. Stopped at Dick's to pick up some hockey sticks. Then went to Raymour and Flannigan and found a set we liked. We're going to hold off until we looked closer to our house at Unclaimed Freight. I went back to my house and looked for the stuff Chris got me and couldn't find it. I ripped apart his room and finally found it in the garbage at 11. I hung out and played games on Saturday night and fell asleep on the couch at 12. Woke up and went to hockey and had a decent game. Scored a few goals and had a few assists. Tim doesn't pass at all and he was complaining about playing shitty. We stopped at Pocono Farms golf course to see Danielle's father and then went home. I played GTA and Guitar Hero when I got home and then cleaned out my desk at the house. Chris and I then played some Smash and Smashed against his friends. I got my ass handed to me but am now in the mood to start playing the game.

Accepted our offer
Actually got out of work before 10 on Saturday morning. Ended up with about 4 hours overtime for the week. Paulette called on Saturday morning to tell us they rejected our bid. She was pissed on the phone because they made all these demands (credit scores, 8k down, 10 day inspection instead of 15). They were really being dicks about it and I don't want to meet with these fucks during closing. Went home Saturday afternoon and slept through a thunderstorm. That's about 4 in the last week. Woke up and ate dinner and hung out and played games the rest of the night. Chris tried to get Battlefield to work but he couldn't get it. I fell asleep in his bed again and he slept on the floor. Awww, what a sweetie. My turn to drive to hockey on Saturday. I didn't really feel like playing when I woke up. Simon played this week. It's the first time i've seen the guy play in years. He's professional good, Bobby level. He was on our team. I thought I played well and had a bunch of assists. Hit the post twice and had one of my shots stop right on the line, which someone else put it. Another shot hit off the goalie and bounced right on top of the net. I felt on in my game with the defense and moves and everything. My stick is done and I need to get a new one. Mom is going to get me two sticks for father's day. Chris is supposed to go to Scranton tomorrow to get me them. I was missing a strap on my shinguard and I fell right on that knee and got a floor burn. After hockey I took Jeremy to play with the kids. Tim had a inflatable jumper and Jeremy was scared to go in at first but then he started having a ball with it. They played T ball for a little while before we left. Hung out the rest of the night. Holly got me a Cowboy Bebop T-shirt for father's day. It's nice and I'm happy with it.
Paulette called this morning to tell us that they accepted our offer at 186. I'm happy but I still can't help feeling we could've gotten the house cheaper. I wonder what it's going to appraise at. I ran down there right after she called and had to sign papers. I brought Jeremy with me and he was good, playing with two balloons they gave him and an abomination happy meal toy. I want to get the figures from the movie. I asked Jeremy if I could have Abomination and he called me "silly". I came home and took him swimming. It wasn't really hot out when we left but the sun came out while we were there and warmed things up. The pool was empty. Jeremy didn't want to go in the pool and I tried to force him but he kept screaming. He dipped his feet in and made wet footprints most of the time. Out of the blue he asked me to go in the big pool and we did for a minute before he wanted to get out. We played on the playground for a little while before coming home. Holly started her orientation today and she did well and gott hrough it. They told her they would provide lunch and they provided shitty jail bologna sandwiches.

Found our house, put offer in
I didn't really feel like looking for houses on Monday so we stayed home and relaxed. We went looking on Tuesday at 3 houses in Palmerton. The first one was ok but not quite what we were looking for. Then we found our house. Holly liked it pretty much right away and I liked most of it but not all of it. We went to the third house but we were already set and the third house wasn't that nice anyway. We made an appointment for dad to go to the house with us on Thursday. Holly had her physical and I was supposed to meet dad at ten to three. I slept through the alarm and woke up at three. Called Paulette to tell her we were running late and then called chris and told him to call dad. Got to Mt. Pocono at 3:30 and dad drove us in the grand am. We thought we knew where we were going (because of Beltsville) but we got lost along the way. We were following a school bus that led to a dead end and we asked some redneck dick how to get to 209 and he said "That's really far. Follow the bus." Idiot. So we followed it and then flagged someone down when we got to the main road intersection and he told us where to go. We ended up getting to the house 10 mins late. Dad checked it out and he liked everything he saw. The people were up at the house this week for their father's funeral (who just died last week). They came home while we were in the house but pulled out of the driveway once they saw we were still in there. We went to Paulette on Friday to make our offer. I wanted to Lowball it but she wouldn't have it and said it wasn't the greatest of ideas so we bid 180,000. Now the waiting begins. We were hoping to get some grant to pay for our closing costs but there weren't any.
On Monday I unloaded a trailer (that shouldn't have been loaded anyway, Sears TV headload that somone improperly set up). I left the Tvs in the truck and kevin was out there and he didn't know what to do with it. I told him to kick it to the yard but he kept talking about moving it that day so I left. Later Tyler (or Joe) parked a lift in the trailer. Kevin called it out and Denny pulled it out and the forklift dropped off the dock. Kevin then blamed me ( I told him to shut the door.) I was really pissed off and I yelled at him and told him he didn't tell me to shut it, especially since we were both standing there and I drove away. Jack gave me work at the end of the night and I gave it back to him and told him I was leaving. AJ started training on Thursday night. I went back to Mom's after Dad and I looked at the house on Thursday so I didn't bring my steel toe boots or badge because it was last minute. I wore sneakers on Thursday and got through mostly the whole night before someone ratted me out for wearing sneakers. Probably AJ or Kevin. Assholes.
Finally got Marvel Trading Card Game. Been playing a good deal and I'm happy I finally got it. I feel the TCG building up inside me and I think I'll be playing Magic in a few days. I haev to catch up on it. Either that or set up the VS system for Magic Workstation. Downloaded the Battlefield Demo and must say it's awesome. I'll be buying it when it comes out. I still have birthday money left. I haven't played Final Fantasy at all and Been playing San Andreas a little here and there. I want to preorder the Collectors Edition of Fallout 3. If you do at Gamestop, you get a poster and Limited Edition CD, plus the Lunchbox, art book and other things.

The House Hunt
We've been busy with house hunting most days and it's drained us both physically and emotionally. We started on Saturday June 1. I called up realty world because we saw a lot of potential houses on there and got in contact with my parent's old realtor. We gave up on the other asshole that we initially contacted. He lost an easy few grand but fuck him. We were supposed to see 4 houses but after going to the first, the people in the other three weren't home. Luckily while we were at the last house, one of the others called and we got to see their house. The first house was ok but the bedrooms were too small. The other two were shitty (one we could tell from looking in the window). The next day we looked at four and found what we thought was the house we were going to get. It had a beautiful kitchen, nice living rooms, ok rooms, and a nice little yard outside. Took dad there the next day and he inspected it for us and told us not to get it. Paula was pissed because we were ready to make an offer on it. We both went home disappointed. We went out to look again the next day (even though were weren't in the mood) and saw three beautiful homes. None of them had on street parking and only one had a yard w/ a pool and a mini barn in the back but it had asbestos siding that would have to be torn off. The other house was in Nazareth and was my favorite and is the house I want. It's a brick cape cod with three and a half bedrooms, two full baths (one with a claw tub in it instead of a shower), nice kitchen, and a finished basement which adds two more rooms. There's a two person jacuzzi in the big room in the basement (which we'd use for weightlifting i think). I would've gotten the house in a minute if it had either a yard or a driveway. We're going to fall back on that house if we don't find anything else. We're going to shift our attention away from Bangor and Pen Argyl because the houses are too old and move the search to Nazareth and Palmerton. Nazareth wasn't a bad drive and it was all on the highway, compared to Palmerton which will be all back roads. Hopefully this is the week we find something. After seeing the potential and room of a finished basement, I'd definitely like a house with one.
I finally got to play at Hazleton. After playing in the morning, Chris and I headed out there for a mini practice with a few guys from his team. It's definitely a great little rink even though it's not smooth enough to play puck on. There were a billion crunched gypsy moths all over the rink. I had a good time there and we played for a little while. On the way home Chris passed the exit to drop off his friend so we had to drive to Mt Pocono and then all the way back up to Blakeslee. We were trying to convince him to turn off on the highway but of course when he slowed down to take a turn there was a cop just leaving. We got lucky and it spooked him so he didn't take the chance. We got back later than mom wanted and I ate some pasta and went home with Jeremy. I got back to Holly's and passed out on her bed about two minutes after being home.
We took Jeremy to the Philly Zoo on Monday. It was the perfect day weather wise (I felt a bit too hot). I was physically drained from the day before even though I slept eight hours. We all had a good time. The animals weren't bad. My favorites were the monkeys and the anaconda. Jeremy liked the monkeys and the bear sloth. We saw a gorilla up close eating cabbage which impressed me. Another monkey was running around his land with a white sheet over him. Jeremy tried dip and dots and really liked it and had two servings. He saw other children with their faces painted and he wanted to get his done. He originally chose a pirate but then changed his mind and wanted to get a dinosaur. He was good getting it painted (surprised me) and he chased us around a bit roaring. He was ok at the zoo but he didn't really seem too interested in really looking at the animals. He'd look and then want to move on. He was chasing chickens around. A peacock came out from behind us and made a squawk and jumped right over a wood fence into the elephant area. He kept screaming "come back, come back" which was funny. We stopped on the way home at the rest stop for food. Roy Rogers jewed us out of biscuits. The rest stop was nicely renovated and they added some more restaurants, more efficiently using their space.
Kevin started training for Jack's job on Monday. He's too amped and strung and nervous. It's going to be aggravating working with him. Jack and most of the others turn a blind eye to things but when you have a new supervisor coming in, they always seem to want to prove themselves. I was so tired on Monday after driving all day and going to the zoo that I fell asleep in the bathroom for at least forty five minutes to an hour. I went in there to kill some time but fell asleep right away. I woke up and John and the other driving trainer was out there eating breakfast and he started talking to me about hockey but I was still half asleep and mumbling incoherent things to him. The rest of the week was ok but I can see the others getting pissed off with Kevin. Joe is leaving the office and is going to work the hub instead of the city. With any lucky and without too much aggravation, I'll be on the 7:30 as soon as we get the house. Even though it's a worse shift.
I played tennis with Ryan twice (once each week). I don't really like playing with him much thought. We don't get any kind of volley going and he doesn't like to slow serve the second ball so it just doesn't go anywhere. I went to his house yesterday after we played. He wanted to show me us .45 and we played some games. All the games sucked. I hope to go shoot that gun with him one of these days. One of the first purchases I'd like to get is a gun. Came home about 9 on Saturday and watched the Penguins game, fucked around on the xbox (tried some of the command and conquer 3 demo, as well as the battlefield demo) and fell asleep early. Woke up at seven and read my Star Wars book a bi. I'm towards the end. It's a decent book. I bought San Andreas last week but haven't played much. Every time I want to play, Jeremy wants to watch so I have to turn down the sound all the way and explain that everything I'm doing in the game is wrong. Tim drove us to hockey today. I ran into Eric and my nose is all swollen. I got on the side of it and it was bleeding pretty bad but it stopped after about 15 minutes. My nose is all red and sore and I should ice it up.
