My finger still hurts from over a week and a half ago. I guess it was/is sprained. Just watched that new (i think) MTV show Scarred. They show when extreme sports tricks go wrong. Nasty, nasty stuff. The human body is very fragile and having only suffered minor injuries (comparitevly), I can see easy I could've broken an arm or leg skateboarding. There were two of those broken bones videos that have stayed with me since I first saw them; Triple H (I think) breaking his leg jumping off the ropes and a pride fighter breaking his leg off someone elses with a kick. Some of those clips off that MTV show definately rival the former two.

We're supposed to get snow squalls and could get freezing rain tomorrow. The last two days have seemed so warm that I forgot we could still get this kind of weather. I've never been so glad to have weather in the thirties. I just want the winter to end. I want to be riding my mountain bike!

I was going to write about how perfect Sirius is with the addition of their new 90's alternative and Frank Sinatra channels until I read about their merger with XM. Sirius has everything to offer XM and XM has almost nothing to offer Sirius Subscribers. I'm interested in seeing how it will all pan out in the next few months but I think along with a price increase or different pricing strategy (a la carte pricing), it's going to be a let down.

Rangers lost tonight. It's crunch time right now and if they don't get their fucking act together and win most of the games, they won't be in the playoffs.

I really like Nine Inch Nails two new songs and am very interested in everything they're doing with the new album. Concept albums can be brilliant or annoying but I think this will fall into the former. All the work put into websites and riddles and everything is very enthralling and a very good way to keep fans interested and to build hype. I will definately see them play live this year and am looking forward to the live DVD.

Friday Night

Friday night, my favorite night of the week. So much to look forward to. Very very tired. Worked ten hours the last two nights. My boss called me at 11:45 today (waking me up) telling me to get to work as soon as possible. I got up, got together food for work, ate lunch and left. Dropped off the Rangers book about their Stanley Cup Season at the library (which I didn't read but may read someday) and got to work at 1245. Things have been pretty fucked over there with the day off and the highway closings. He was afraid to send anyone home in case a bunch of trucks came at once so there were literally six guys to one pup. Something you won't see often, if really ever again.

Valentines Day!!

Off from work. Ahhhh!! Called up to call out and I guess they closed our whole shift or were only working with a very limited crew. Things for the rest of the week are going to be fucked over IF I get to work tomorrow. They never plowed our road and there's an idiot stuck at the end of the road. Don't know how the plow is going to get through there now.

Finally beat Final Fantasy 3 for the DS. What a relief! Gettingn stuck on these games is definately stressful. The whole ending battle takes close to an hour and a half because you have to beat five final bosses plus four minor bosses for equipment plus the final boss and then the random battles that take place (which you can basically run from). Going to play through Metroid Prime: Hunters now.

Holly got me God of War, Fruit Rollups, Pistachios, and a nice card for Valentines day. I got her a sweater and tank top. Wanted to get her a card and something else too but the snow last night made me drive straight home. We decided to go Jewish with our spending to try to save money.

Injury 2

Hurt my finger playing hockey yesterday. Didn't notice it while playing but noticed it more and more when I got home. I don't know how I did it. Maybe one of the times I fell. The floor seemed a lot worse than normal. Heard on the news that it was minus twenty five windchill last Monday. I wouldn't doubt it. The coldest day I ever remember. Cold never really stands out in my mind, except three years ago when I was working at Stop and Shop and I walked from the store to the comics store (Four blocks away) and it was brutally cold. On the way home from work 1010 news (which my dad listened to every night) had a cold advisory in affect.

On the way home tonight, about two minutes from the entrance to our community there was a volunteer fireman blocking off the road with flares. There was a car accident and i had to drive around the accident to get to the community, which was twenty five minute detour. Not what I wanted to do after a hard day of work. When I got home Jeremy was up. A funny suprise. He fell asleep at six and holly couldn't get him up when she tried. He eventually woke up at twelve thirty. I watched some of ice age with him before we put him to bed. Fucking snow. Ten inches they say. I really hope Holly's dad can fix her car so we don't have to buy a new one. I've been eating all night. Can't seem to get full.

Weekend

Holly and saw Pan's Labyrinth on Saturday night for our date. It was a good movie. On the way home from Walmart later that night I saw what must've been a guy running from the cops. The cop was on the side of the road with his lights on and there was a car on the other side with it's door open. The cop was running back and forth across the road and when the guy in front of me stopped, the cop started screaming at him to drive.

No hockey next week. They're having some kind of diabetes fundraiser there. Gay! I didn't play that great tonight. I didn't feel comfortable with my shots or passes. Even stopping gave me a problem. The floor seemed more slippery than usual. This was the first time I played in three weeks. I had two goals and at least four assists.

Played video games this weekend and relaxed. Started to test out some of the popular magic decks too. I'm in the last dungeon in Zelda (stuck) and in Gears of War (stuck). Gears is a pain because the people have these torque bows that blow up when they hit you and they're basically snipers. And Zelda I'm usually decent if I put it down and come back a few days later.

Supposed to get a lot of snow on Tuesday Night and Wednesday. See how it is out and maybe call out of work. I'd like a day off this week. Holly's Power Steering went on her car and has to be replaced. Hundred dollars down the drain.

Frozen

This artic weather pattern is killing me. Monday night was the worst, coldest night I ever had at work. I wore a pair of long johns, three t-shirts, three sweatshirts, my jumpsuit and a columbia jacket and was never once near warm. I don't feel like being there and things I would normally do as my normal job responsibilities are thrown out the door. It's draining me physically and when I get home I just want to go immediately to bed, instead of staying up for the four or five hours that I usually do. I'm thinking about requesting a day off this week. I can't wait until the weekend. Have to see what Holly and I are doing. Probably going to try to go ice skating.

I'm close to beating Zelda and I'm trying to figure out how to beat Final Fantasy 3. I won the Zelda Master Quest game through ebay which includes Zelda 1, Zelda 2, Majora's Mask, and Ocarina of Time. I played through some of Majora's Mask on an emulator and can't wait to play it on my TV. I never put more than ten minutes into Zelda 1. Got towards the end of Zelda 2.

Song: Marilyn Manson: Personal Jesus (Depeche Mode Cover; I didn't like this the first few times I heard it but i've grown to like it.)

Last Seven

Took Jeremy to his doctor's appointment about his heart. Everything turned out to be ok. He has a pin sized hole in the lower right ventricle. The doctor said it should heal up within the year but even if it doesn't, he just has to be cautious before surgeries, with urinary tract infections and a few other rare circumstances. We have a follow up a year from now. Jeremy was going crazy screaming and kicking and being upcooperative. We took him to Burger King aftewards for breakfast, then went to Kmart and the library to rent movies. Got off on Friday for all this.

I'm in a selling mood so this weekend I went through a good chunk of my comic books and made a list of them. I want to type up the list so I can fill in any holes in any of the good collections and get ready to sell off some of the ones I don't want. I've been meaning to sell some of them for a while but never got around to it.

Watched more of the Superbowl tonight than I have in the last few years. I don't think I even watched any of it a few times. Didn't think it was that bad of a game. I love seeing teams playing in sloppy weather. Makes for lots of turnovers and action.

I'm in a Magic mood and I started playing again this weekend. The new set just came out so it's the most exciting time to be playing with all different decks out to be toyed around with. I'm trying to learn what's been popular and winning the last few months and looking if I can come up with anything.

Played a lot of Zelda and a bit of Gears of War this weekend. Haven't touched Call of Duty online and I think I'm the better for it. I'm at the end of Final Fantasy 3 but it's pretty difficult and I may have to level up A LOT before trying to fight the bosses. Plus you can't just go and fight the bosses. You have to make your way up to them and even the random battles in this section can kill your party quickly. There are a total of five bosses (I think) and I haven't beat one of them. I'm frustrated with that shit but i'm going to keep toying around with it.

In an ebay kind of mood and that can definately be a bad thing for the bank account. Holly and I did sell some stuff in the last few months.

Terrorists!!!!

The whole Boston Aqua Teen Hunger Force situation is the funniest potential terrorist scare I've ever heard about. New York City stinking a few weeks ago at least had the potential for some kind of problem. But this was just outrageous. And there's no better possible picture that has to be printed in major newspapers.
Can't wait for spring. I want to be out there on my dad's boat, a nice sixty degree day with those fish all ready and willing and starving after winter thaw. It's almost too easy and for those few weeks you think you could become a fishing star, until it gets hot and they don't bite for shit.
We're switching over all the locks at work to abloy. Just got my key on Thursday night. For 100 dollars, you'd think the thing could be made out of silver. I had to sign it out and if I lose it I have to pay for it.
