Cindy and Kenny dropped off Ashleigh last weekend. I cooked burgers and hot dogs for everyone. They stayed at the house for a few hours. We took the kids to the park after Cindy left. We went to the Carbon County Fair on Saturday afternoon but when we got there it was closed. The fair didn't open until 3, pretty odd. We decided to go the movies and saw Aliens in the Attic. It was actually a funny movie and we all enjoyed it. Came home and hung out for a little while and then went to the fair. The kids had a good time there. Holly was lucky on the mouse game and won each of the kids a stuffed animal.

Saw Marco for the first time in years. I called my house randomly last weekend and he was there. He went to the hockey games on Sunday and then we went to Ruby Tuesdays. We got there at 9:10 and it closed at 10. I had a chicken fresca dish that was good. We wound up bullshitting in the parking lot until 1am. Mostly about hockey and old stupid shit we had done.

I'm a college student now. I start next week with two night classes. I went for the business management course and have Business Law 1, Accounting, Business Manage and something I can't quite remember. Two of my books were over 200 dollars each. Fucking insane. I got into the ERO program so everything was free. I was hoping to extend my 12 free credits over two semesters but they had to be used during one semester. My two online classes don't start for another month and they're accelerated.

I started to play the Eve Online demo and decided to buy it. I was reading a forums and got in touch with someone that gave me 200 million ISK for using his referrel. He originally told me 150. It's a nice head start in the game and now I don't have to grind to get decent ships. The day after I paid the full 20 for it I noticed Steam had it discounted to 5.00. Bad timing but the head start in the game was worth it. I have 51 days of gametime before I have to start paying. I'm hoping to refer someone or learn how to make enough isk before that point to buy plex.

I'm downloading LOTRO to try out. It's a welcome back week for previous players and I'm going to give it a whirl just to see it. I got into the Fallen Earth Beta and like the game. I'd most likely be playing it if I didn't have the other games to play.

I was going to give up on Warcraft when this currenty subscription ran out (27th) but playing the last few days made me want to wait. The guild started Ulduar over again 2 times after we had a lockout available and I signed up for a few of these nights and regretted it. I didn't have any fun at all. But with us attempting Yogg soon and The Faction Champions, I can see myself enjoying it more. Fell asleep while raiding working on the Faction Champions the other night. I've run the daily heroics when they were short and actually had fun running AN today for the achievements. The pally in my guild also said he try out arena with me so it's another reason to play.

Been really tired lately. Started running on the treadmill. Had some nice strong days and had some shitty days as well. There's a Lehigh Valley half marathon but it's too close to be properly trained for. There's also a full marathon in Scranton but again, the timing isn't right. I went on the treadmill today and died after half a mile. Don't know if it's because I didn't eat or what but it was aggravating.

We lost our hockey 'playoff' game. I really don't get too pissed off about close goals but there was one goal where our goalie had it and the guy pushed the goalie into the goal. I was right behind the net when it happened and argued to no avail. It was the guy who wears a polo shirt. He must've said something to the goalie when we were shaking hands because the goalie went after him. For some reason the white team beat the blue team and we got to play the blue team on Sunday. The game was getting rough. I knew I was going to play dirty on the fat guy and he took me down along the boards. I gave him a backhand to the face. The other fat guy was getting pissed at Kenny and went after him. We won the game

Got Jeremy a Slip and Slide and he used it for the first time today. He had a good time playing with it.

Kayak, Gizmo, Weekend without Jeremy

Chris came up for a night and the next day we took Jeremy swimming. He didn't want to go in but I grabbed him and brought him in. He was sacred at first but started having a good time. I took him swimming one other day while they were on vacation and I couldn't get him out of the pool. He was in the tube by himself and he didn't even want me to hold on to him.

We took Jeremy to Big Wheel and for some reason he pissed behind one of the arcade machines. The next day right after breakfast he went outside and was pissing behind the garbage cans. We were having problems with him running outside when he was the kids next door but he has since stopped.

Chris got a job! About time. And he's making pretty decent money in tips. Now at least my parents dont' have to worry about paying off his student loans when they come due. I have a feeling that they came due already but he said otherwise. He needs to take responsibility for one thing and that's the loans. He can call and get them deferred or change the terms if the payments were too high. But with the tips he's been making, he can easily afford them and the Iphone he wants.

Mom got a new dog! He's a cute shitsui. I thought she was doing ok a few weeks after Fluff died but she started crying to me randomly on the phone one night about how she's depressed. Dog got her a dog soon after and she seems much happier. It's definitely keeping her busy. We went to see the dog on Saturday. I took Jeremy around to play with Dustin and Dacey for a little while as well. He had fun with them. The three of them together are maniacs.

Chris and I got kayaks! He was debating on what to buy with his first paycheck and after passing up the Iphone and PS3 he settled on the kayak. I've always wanted on and I was debating on whether or not to buy one. It was a big purchase but I think it was well worth it. I was supposed to meet him on Sunday morning in Dickson City. I called him late on Saturday night and told him I wouldn't be going. He got the yak and for a damn good price (200 off online retailer, 100 off their regular price) and I had to get one. I drove to mom's early on Monday and had him watch Jeremy while I took the Jeep down. I couldn't get the truck open and after messing with it for an hour, decided that I would have to put it on the roof. Chris and I took the yaks out in PCP. Jeremy was in the seat with me and he was making me shit my pants so I stayed near the shore. Headed home and went to Beltsville after dinner. Jeremy was wearing track pants but he wanted to go in the water and he got all wet.

Scoped out the Lehigh the next day. Jeremy had fun throwing rocks in and now he's always asking me to take him fishing. I'm going to this week. I went that night to the Lehigh and had a good time. I was nervous in the choppy water.

Chris came up on Friday night after work. We went to the Lehigh early the next morning. We planned to paddle up river as much as we could but gave up after clearing one small set of choppy water. It's just too much work. Going up took 20 minutes, coming down only 5. We went down the river a bit and had a blast doing it. We were making our way down and got stuck in a shallow section. Had to walk out of there. Forgot to bring my sandles and bruised my feet on the bottom of slippery rocks. Put on my sneakers and then walked into the middle of the river to paddle some more. Tried to make it back up the choppy waters and it was just too much work so we took the yaks out in a clearing in the woods and I ran to get the Jeep.

Holly dropped off Jeremy at her parents' and we went out to dinner. We went to a Mexican Restaurant in Jim Thorpe. The food was pretty decent and they had awesome fried ice cream with churros. Came home and watched 'Sunshine' which we both liked. Did 10 man Hodir hard mode. I didn't win the fucking staff and it was really nice so I was a bit pissed off. We tried Freya with one keeper but everyone gave up after a few attempts.

Sunday we just hung out the whole day and then Holly came with me to hockey.

Been getting a bit tired of Warcraft. I finally got a Mimiron kill and I tanked it last night because Wilkie was too tired to raid. Last week not enough people signed up/showed up for the Yogg Saron night and it pissed me off. The best part of raiding is doing new bosses, especially the end boss. We tried Flame Leviathon with 4 towers up and it proved too hard so we tried two and did it easily. I'd like to just concentrate on doing all hard modes on 10 man because no one really needs any gear from there anymore. I got my helm with emblems last night. Going to craft new boots from runed orbs.

Downloaded the Age of Conan trial and I like it. The graphics are nice and even though it's the typical MMO style quests, the combat is more fun. The voice acting is also decent and adds a dimension to the game. I'd rather sit and listen to a story then read quest logs. I rolled Bear Shaman and the game gives you a level 50 character after you have 1 level 50. Good incentive, especially if you're not fond of your class. I bought the collectors edition off ebay for 18.00 shipped so you can't beat it. Chris is downloading now and we'll see if he plays. I also bought an Aion beta key off ebay. The game is polished and nice but I doubt i'll get it when it comes out. I'm going to play the beta weekends and see how fun it is. I haven't gotten my wings or gotten to the pvp zones and we'll see how fun they are. Champions Online is also releasing soon and I may pre order just to try it out in beta. Going to buy Battlefield 2142 so Chris and I can play together.

I've been playing the shittiest hockey ever. My passes are shit and I can't stickhandle the puck. We lost last week in a shootout and won this week in a shootout.

Father's Day was nice. Holly made me french onion soup. She bought me the warlock figure. Bonny told me there was no hockey and then they had it. Pissed me off when I learned this.

Went to mom's but Chris wasn't there. He went to Atlantic City. We had a nice dinner but I was bored while I was there.

Went to mom's to visit with Jeremy. Aunt Mare came up that morning and they were all set to see Cheriffa the next morning. We just hung out and got Chinese food. Chris and I played tennis and I won in the tiebreaker with a score of 12-11. I had come back from 3 sets down to win. Jeremy was playing with Jerrod again.

Had a nice 4th. Went to get Jeremy an ice cream from the ice cream truck and wound up chasing it down. Afterwards we went swimming in the neighbors pool. Holly learned how to swim! Jeremy didn't go in the pool with us. We hung out outside for a while and then went to see the fireworks at Jim Thorpe. We got there for 8:30 and then learned the fireworks weren't until 10. They had a 60's cover band which was ok in the beginning but got annoying towards the end. There were a few games and rides and we wasted some time there. It was small and you had to purchase a ticket to buy food. I did the speed pitch and got a max of 64 on my last ball. Didn't know if i'd break 60. I'd like to try it again. Jeremy played on the playground and then we sat in the grass waiting for the fireworks. The fireworks were pretty decent. Probably go there every year. Holly originally planned Allentown and I wasn't looking forward to that with all the traffic. Stopped and got donuts on the way home.

Scored the winning goal in a shootout. I was the third shooter. Fatboy wanted to shoot but I had a really decent game. I didn't say I wanted to shoot but Ryan suggested it. I decided beforehand that I would go 5 hole on Tye and he got a piece of it but it barely rolled in. The last game I played I started yelling at the dickhead on the other team. He checked me in front of the net and I was going to nail him but I didn't get out there at the same time as him.

We went shopping and got ourselves a 23" monitor and some new curtains. The monitor is awesome. We were debating on whether or not to get a laptop but decided against it at the last minute.

Holly and I were watching a show on the computer and Jeremy was watching a movie down here when his TV went out. Holly flipped the circuit breakers and after flipping the main, lost all power. Dale came down (it was 12 at night) and he rigged it so we would have power for the night. The next day I went to Shea's, then called Home Depot and the guy gave me an attitude. Drove down to Lowes and they didn't have it and the guy suggested a place in Allentown. Found it in a downpour after changing directions a few times. The guy told me they didn't make those breakers anymore and we'd have to take the bar out in the box. Dale came a few hours later and he took the covers off the outlets in the computer room. He found 6 mice in the outlet we plug the computer into! They had all crammed themselves in there. The box should've only take a few minutes but it took hours to get the wires to stay in. It was ridiculous. We would put them in all the way and screw them down and they would come right out.

We were stuck on Thorim for a few weeks after getting him to really close a few times (1%, 4%). We got him down and then got Freya down and the guild got Mimirom down on the Saturday night (which I didn't sign up for). I bought the chest piece w/ emblems after losing the rolls. On Saturday night we got 10 man Sarth plus 3 drakes. I didn't originally get invited but since someone dropped out, I got the chance. We did it after a few attempts and it wasn't too bad. It drops a drake and we're going to farm it. Been doing multi boxing so I can get my Druid up to 60. Playing a priest and mage at the same time. They're both at 51-53. It's starting to get annoying but I only have a few more hours to go. Then I'm going to transfer the Priest to my regular account and maybe level up the druid.

Fluff

My parents had to put down Fluff. He started getting sick a few weeks ago and they took him to the vet. They had to change his diet and he was doing OK for a few weeks. Then he got sick again and he was in pretty bad shape. He wasn't eating and had to be rushed to the emergency animal hospital. He was on an IV and stayed there for a few days. It was discovered he was diabetic and would have to be given needles. He came home for a few days, recovered for a day or two and then steadily got worse the next few days. They brought him to the vet and they put him down. It was for the best. My mom and dad were pretty upset but mom is starting to sound normal after the last few weeks.

Chris's friend bought a bunch of Magic cards so I went to Moms' two Saturdays ago while Holly was sick. Dropped Jeremy off and Chris and I went to draft at his friend's house. It was fun drafting in person, even though I only got to play against Chris. I thought I had the stronger deck but Chris won in three games (he could've even won in 2 games, he missed the Undeath of a creature). The draft took a long time but was fun. Went back to Mom's for dinner and came back home.

We both started playing online. I played three drafts, one with Chris. We both lost the first round and then we went to play another and I didn't join in time and he played by himself. I found that they added a new draft format, Swiss where you win one pack every draft you play. I drafted again and won 2 out of 3 rounds. I could've won the first and put a creature out with flash during his 'declare attackers' but I couldn't block. I had some decent cards in hand and think I could've won. The last round the guy had a really tech deck but he lost because of his timer. I would've lost eventually and am glad I didn't. The next draft was RRR and I didn't draft such a great deck. I won the first games of the first two rounds but couldn't get another win. I did win the last round and ended up with a pack. The RRR format doesn't really work at all.

We took Jeremy to "Walking with the Dinosaurs" at the Arena. It was a really fun and interesting show and all of us enjoyed it. We left early because it was race weekend but made good time down there. We stopped at Dick's before the show and I bought Jeremy a hockey stick. I still have to cut it down for him. After the show we went to the mall for lunch. They put a new cigar store in and I was going to buy a hookah but decided against it. Sunday we just hung out all day.

We started the new session at Big Wheel. We lost our first game and won our game last night. I had a good game with 2 goals and at least one assist. One of the kids I don't like got hit in the face with a puck. We tied it up late and went to a shootout. I hate shooting but I did. Fatboy wanted to shoot but the team dismissed him. I didn't open my mouth either but was nominated. I pretty much figure I'd go 5 hole and did. He got a good piece of it but it barely got past him and like trickled past the line. It was something you'd see in a movie in slow motion. They moved Tuesday night hockey to the Bethleham. It's a pain in the ass of a drive and I got all flustered when I went there the first time. I pulled into a gas station to turn around but couldn't really find any place to maneuver. I had to back up near the garbage dumpster and even then there was barely enough room. Then I missed a turn and made a quick turn into a mini mall, on the wrong side. I finally found the rink. It's an awesome rink, full sized hockey with sport court. Only 8 guys showed up to play and we only wound up playing half court zone posts. I'd like to play in that league in the future, maybe next session. The kid was telling me that they had at least 15 teams playign there, some in professional A roller hockey.

We got a fire pit a few weeks ago and roasted marshmellows. It was fun and something different to do on the nice nights.

I started playing the auction house on Warcraft. I've made pretty good gold doing it the last 10 days and have enough to buy my epic flying. Going to wait a few days until I have enough so that if anything really good comes on the AH, I can still buy it to turn a profit. Last weekend I was bored so I leveled up my cooking. I've gotten it to 375 and have the mats to get it past that. I got my exalted rep with Son's of Hodir and Revered with Oracles so I have nothing much to do on there during the day except quests. Started doing the daily fishing and daily cooking and might grind rep with the other factions if there's any dailies that aren't too bad.

Update

I've been taking Jeremy out almost every day. He's played with Emily across the street a few times and the boys next door a few times. He just got into a baseball kick and I took him to the field yesterday. Unfortunately, it was too warm and we only stayed for about 20 minutes. He's hitting the ball pretty good, actually playing all sports well. He's throwing better and playing hockey better.

I was playing hockey outside with him and rolled my ankle badly. I missed our playoff game at Big Wheel that week. We won third place overall. They started a new session with four teams. Last week was a free week and I played quite a bit. Our team is mostly in tact, with the loss of Tim and Joe. I hope we don't get no pass Jeff on our team. He's a college kid. Can't he realize what he's doing by not passing? Tuesday night pickup has been fun as well, with a good group of guys. I'm too out of shape for iron man hockey.

Chris came over to bring the lawnmower and to go mountain biking. Holly took her mom out shopping for mother's day while Chris and I went biking. We went to Jim Thorpe. We stopped to rest when these two dyke broads came and pointed to a split in the trail and said "The singletrack is up there." We thought they were speaking to us but they didn't acknowledge us at all, even after we said hello. We wound up going up that way and getting lost. We were on game land or power line trails trying to find the road by listening to cars. We came along some Mexicans on four wheelers and followed them out. They were going through huge puddles and we rode through right behind. It was hilarious. We found the road, found a baseball game at a Panther Valley school and asked for directions. We were way off started to bike back. I ran out of water at this point. We were considering asking someone to use their phone to call Holly to pick us up but we didn't. Good thing because she wasn't close to home yet. We walked the bikes up a huge hill which killed me. We rode down the hill, which must've been a mile. I started getting shaky and woozy down the hill. I stopped at the bottom dehydrated. I layed on a grass clearing in the middle of the road. Chris went to a house to get me water. I stayed and drank the water, resting. He started towards the state park to pick me up but I went after him. I felt funny for a bit afterwards but after dinner I started to feel normal again.

Merle went to Florida and went crazy. He drove past his location by an hour, stopped his can and then started ramming the ruck behind him. He then set the truck on fire and ran into the woods. They caught him with dogs and he was saying that monsters were after him and he killed one. Dale had to go to Florida with George to pick him up. We gave Dale some money to help him out and it all went to the Florida trip. Merle was diagnosed with Alzheimers.

My birthday was nice. Holly got out of work an hour early and got us chinese. The food wasn't too good. The wanton soup and noodles that came with them were good and so was General Tso's but the lo mein and egg rolls were off. I reinjured my ankle going up the steps and was gimping around a few days. Holly got me the John Lennon Book, Crysis, 2 t shirts (the best hockey shirt ever), 2 shorts, Banjo Minnow, and two pairs of underwear (xbox and simpsons). Jeremy got me Hulk pencils and Hulk Tattoos. Holly baked me a vanilla/vanilla cake with pudding in the middle. Came out excellent.

Mom and Dad took me to the casino for my birthday. The food at the buffet was decent and I gambled 40 bucks before we decided it sucked too bad and went bowling. I had fun bowling. I had spares/one strike the first seven frames of the game. Then I sucked it up bad at the end and Chris almost caught up to me. Mom and Dad got me Street Fighter 4 and a Warcraft game card.

Holly got me an ankle brace and I've been wearing it while outside. I'm going to start doing ankle exercises to try to strengthen it. I've been working out the last few weeks. Not hardcore but hitting the bag, doing pushups and biking a bit. Just trying to tone up.

Left my old guild and joined a new one. They're a late night raiding guild with mostly older members. I'm happy with them and most are really friendly. After I got in a lot of other people started to join but I've got a bit of seniority on them. I've been raiding with them too much but I'm hoping to cut down once I gear up more. I completed Naxx twice with them (the Saturday night runs are tough to do) and we've cleared the first 5 bosses in Ulduar. We've done Malygos 3 times and OS+1 three times. Last night we cleared Maly 2nd try, OS+1 2nd try, Emalon 2nd try, and then 10 man Emalon 1st. I wiped early in the fight and was battle rezzed right as lightning hit. It was a good night for raiding. I just bought dual specs and am going to experiment with Destro soon.

I beat SF4 with Sagat but am having trouble with other characters. I like the game quite a bit. I put an hour or two into Crysis. It's a fun game and I'm just getting to the Alien part of it.

Computer, Easter

Got the computer!! It's great. 100 percent satisfied with it. Got Far Cry 2 which isn't that great (not linear enough, more driving then shooting) but I haven't given it much of a chance. Also got Supreme Commander which I haven't installed. Chris hooked me up with his Steam account and was playing Left 4 Dead with him a few times. It's a lot of fun.

Went to Cindy's to drop off Ashley's presents. I threw my little hissy fit but it wasn't so bad. Cindy's boyfriend is decent and I just watched TV mostly the whole time. They got Jeremy some nice Easter presents including a 400 page Spiderman coloring book and a mini basketball hoop. The basketball hoop is fun and we attached it to the sliding glass door.

Cleaned the house last week and we both arranged the big room the week before. Started playing hockey in there with Jeremy almost every day. He has fun in there.

Chris came over on Good Friday to hang out and see the new computer. We didn't do much, just hung out the whole weekend playing games. Chris fixed Jeremy's hockey net and we set it up downstairs. Jeremy's Easter Egg hunt was Saturday morning. I didn't feel like going beause I didn't really sleep the night before but I went and it was nice. He got a good amount of eggs and came home with a mini basket prize (from finding an egg with a number on it, included a bug catcher, bunny glasses, a small stuffed bunny) and a prize for all children 5 and under (blue stuffed peep). He got a good amount of candy and when we got home we noticed that he had another prize egg that we didn't notice at the Egg Hunt. Holly got that prize when she went to work on Monday but it turned out to be a goody bag with candy.

Easter turned out nice. Made a small Ham, small turkey, homemade mashed potatoes, green beans, biscuits, and stuffing. The food came out good and everyone was happy to see Dale and Shirley. We watched the Masters for most of the time Dale was here. That was the longest I've ever watched golf. He'd have it on when I lived there on a Saturday afternoon mostly and I'd watch a few minutes here and there when I was getting ready to go to mom's house.

Won our game last Sunday. I got really pissed because i got hit in the face with a stick and everyone on the team was getting checked so I checked that kid Andy that doesn't wear shinguards. I lined him up and everything. I apologized after the game. I drove to Big Wheel last Tuesday and it was a birthday party or something and there was no hockey. I drove home and watched the Rangers game. Was trying to go to hockey last night 4/14 but I didn't know if they were having it. I e mailed everyone on the Big Wheel mailing list but no one got back to me except Moe, who e mailed me at 730 on Tuesday night. I wasn't really planning on going because I somehow mistook Tuesday as the opening night of the playoffs.

Hit 80 the other night! Was in Oculus with a shitty group. It was this mage that was the problem, fooling around and not getting on the right dragon. The healer left the group and we had to find a new healer. We wiped once on a boss because of me. I landed my dragon on a platform and the pet attacked him straight out. I didn't set him to attack or anything. Then we wiped twice on the final boss and two people had to go. It was a waste. They released the patch yesterday and the game was down the whole day. I hope they reimburse us for the day of lost time. I dont' know if I want to go Affliction Spec or Demon/Destro hybrid. I like having the Felguard. Or I was thinking of going Destro to try it out while earning enough gold to get duel specs. I downloaded Eve online yesterday and played through the first tutorial. Seems like an ok game, very slow though. I'm going to give it a chance since I have a 21 day trial. Upgrading to the game is only 15 and I was thinking about that. Chris started playing LOTRO and I downloaded the trial but didn't put any time into it.

I fell asleen on the couch yesterday and Holly was laying next to me and then Jeremy climbed on top of me and I ended up pushing them both off the couch. It was an accident but I hurt Holly's back pretty bad.

Started to get into The Office and a canadian show called Trailer Park Boys. It's awesome. Been watching movies a lot lately too. Watched the X Files, a movie about Butchowski, Ghost in the Shell:Stand Alone Complex, Wolverine (terrible), and a few others.

Birthday is coming up. Here's a list of stuff that I was considering:

Microphone for computer
Computer Monitor
T-Shirts
Track Pants
Warhammer 40k
Crysis

New Computer!

Took Jeremy outside on Friday night to skateboard after I saw some kid skating on Justin.tv. I pushed him around for a little while and then the kids from next door came out. They were playing w/ nerf guns and Jeremy played with them for a little while before they had to go eat dinner.

Holly was sick all weekend. She caught a nasty virus from the nursing home. It's going around pretty good because hundreds of kids had it at pocono mountain. We were supposed to go to Ashley's party but Holly wasn't feeling well. Ken's relatives were supposed to be there and I wasn't looking forward to it. We're supposed to go this upcoming weekend and I really don't feel like going. Started to get the house straightened up. We cleaned most of the downstairs and got rid of Jeremy's old clothes and Holly got rid of Stuffed Animals. Got rid of the cardboard in the garage. Still have to get it cleaned up in there but we're on our way. Went out to Arby's for dinner on Saturday and to Big Lots and Giant. Picked up a rake at Big Lots and odds and ends at Giant. Watched the Rangers game and got really pissed off. Haven't gotten that mad during a hockey game probably since last year's playoffs with Rangers vs. Penguins.

Sunday just hung out all day. Went to Country Harvest to get Holly coldcuts. Tried to take Jeremy outside right before hockey but we were only outside for 15 mins before it started to rain. We lost a ball in the sewer. Went to hockey. Got stuck back on D and didn't play well. I scored once and hit the post on another one. Got one assist. My passes sucked badly though. Went into the boards weird and hurt the ankle. We wont the game.

Ordered our computer!!! Have been researching for a while and went with one more than I intially wanted to spend. I'd rather spend more money with something we can upgrade then get something that will be mediocre for years. Saw this on Cnet and it got very high marks and was a good value for the money. Was going to go for the Gateway FX but this one got higher ratings (even though I kind of wanted the I7 processor). I was back and forth between building one or having one built from the cheaper guys but I didn't want the aggravation either way. We got a great deal for the money and it's highly upgradeable. The approximate ship date is on 4/4 and with five to seven days ground shipping. I hope it ships out on the 4th. It's only coming from Virginia so I imagine we'll have it two to three days after it ships. Supposed to get a free T-shirt and Farcry 2 with the computer. I hope Farcry comes. Also get a lazer mouse and new keyboard. I'm really looking forward to it. Going to give Chris the Xbox once the computer comes. I've been playing Fallout here and there and I should either devote some time to it or forget about it completely.

Our paypal got hacked last week! They stole 410 dollars and bought a camera with it. Holly called the bank to inform them and to get a new card and they refunded our money two days later. We still haven't recieved the card yet.

I started to PVP on Warcraft and I really like it. It's exciting and fun and actually challenging. I'm 75 and should hit 76 tomorrow. I'm having fun with the game and can't wait to see how nice it runs on the computer.

Wednesday, March 25, 2009

Went to mom's for dinner on Saturday. She cooked me rice balls and mac and cheese and choc pudding pie. We stopped off and got her flowers and a cheesecake from walmart. Holly went to hang out with Jess while I was there. Watched the Rangers game w/ Chris and pigged out. Tim and Ryan weren't at hockey and we played Bobby's team. We almost puled it off with only five guys. We pulled to 7-6 but then lost it when they scored two quick goals. It was a good game. I've ben playing like shit the last few weeks. I missed Tuesday night hockey because Jeremy and I were outside playing when Holly got home and it was such a nice day.

Rangers have been playing well lately.

My prepaid Wow time expired and I decided not to renew it. I've been wanting to play but wanted to cut down the time I was wasting playing in order to work on the book more. hasn't really worked out the way i intended. been wasting time doing other things. still trying to find us a new comp. getting closer every day. been watching tom green live every night. downloaded city of heroes trial but wasn't too impressed. i didn't really give the game much of a chance. there's a sale on age of conan collectors edition and was considering picking it up to try out.

We won this weekend at hockey against Ozzy's team. Ryan picked up 6 mins in penalties and it was his fault for a too many men penalty.

Anniversary, Avery Jersey!

Holly got me a signed Avery Jersey for the anniversary!!! The best present i've gotten from her ever! Was debating the possibility of whether or not it could possibly be an Avery jersey beforehand because I was warned not to look at bank statement and was hinted at it more so when I picked up the box to put it in the bedroom. Took great willpower not to look at the shipping label. She couldn't wait to give it to me and I got it the day it came. It's a size L but I'm going to frame it and put it up on the wall. I felt guilty because it was so much money and thought about returning it but I'm going to keep it.

Played pick up hockey on Thursday. Fun few hours. Went shopping after putting it off for too long.

Beautiful weather during the weekend. Jeremy and I went outside to play hockey. We used a garbage can and he was passing the ball well. Then we went for a long walk around the neighborhood. Walked on the road behind ours where all the new houses are being built. Went to walmart later in the night to get some toilet paper and other odds and ends. Picked up Halo calendar for 2.00. Was debating on whether or not to get WOTLK and then return it once the one from amazon came but convinced myself it was crazy. Got ices at Rita's and Holly got a milkshake from McD. Came home and attempted to watch Army of Darkness but fell asleep. Woke up and watch 30 Days of Night which was interesting but poorly executed.

Won a hard fought hockey game on Sunday. Bad penalties called on the other team. One hooking but then Jay started bitching and they gave him double minor. Stupid Delay of game penalties as well. I had three assists, no goals. Came home and watched Watchmen. Good translation, liked it. Was planning on getting free tickets from Best Buy promotion but didn't do it.

Hit 70 with Lock and downloaded the WOTLK trial. Was very happy to find it works. Ran Utgarde Keep with no problem but we wiped a few times in Nexus. One time was my fault, tabbed an enemy that we weren't attacking which agro'ed more elites. They blamed it on the felguard but it was actually my fault. Plus our priest kept D/Cing and it was a pain in the ass. Also wiped a few times in Steam Vault but finally beat the boss after 4 or 5 wipes. Tried to run Serpentshire Cavern and the group was doing well. I won a pair of epic boots. We wiped at 3rd boss with boss only having 50/78k and then everyone left after one person left. Pain in the ass. Would've liked to have finished it. Solo'ed a few older dungeons to see them and to get achievements. Did Gnomer and Wailing Caverns. Did this late at night, naked so I wouldn't have to pay to fix gear. Got killed about 8 or 9 times before I got into instance. Started soloing Stratholme. Took hours to find the "Key to the City" but it was fun and challenging. Made some gold and got lots of runecloth. Made a DK and have one more quest and then i'm done with the starting zone. The Druid doesn't seem to be getting as much rested XP as the DK.

Installed Age of Mythology and I really hate the interface. Can't read what the buttons do because the help text is white. I suck at RTS but I'd like to play them. I'm going to give it another try. Or maybe i'll put Starcraft on here. Started Fallout but i'm not even out of the vault. Jeremy changed the settings on the xbox to Russian and also changed my avatar.

Did most of the federal taxes but still have to finish. Haven't had the ambition to do it. We're going to get a sizable return.

I'm craving a new mountain bike and new computer. The Ibex Frame is only 400 but I don't know how much I'd have to spend to get it up and running. Is it going to be too difficult for me to put together. Most likely, yes. The option to build a computer is always there but once again, am I going to be able to do it. I also want a nice monitor. Birthday is coming up soon so we'll see where we're at when it happens.

Started running on treadmill and don't know if the dust in garage has made me sick. Have had a scratch in my throat for what seems like a week now and didn't feel all that well tonight.

Our anniversary was today. Took Jeremy out to get presents for Holly. Bought her a figurine and picture from from Halmart and flowers from Giant. Got a card in there and bought a few odds and ends. The inside of the store is very nice and they have high quality pastries, fish and meats. Bought some bagels there and they're comparable to Panera. Got a pizza tonight for dinner.

Need to start reading comics again.

New TV

Been layed off for three weeks now. Haven't done much of anything. I keep putting off working on the book and now I must start. I will work on it after Holly and Jeremy go to bed or during the day if Jeremy is good. I think at night is the best bet. I have to make a strict work time that I'm hoping would be 3-4 hours a day.

Chris came up for a night and we went and picked up my TV. Wound up getting a 32" 720 Samsung for 500. I was trying to get Holly to approve of a bigger TV but this was the right decision for the right money. TV is very nice and the size is decent for the living room. This will be fine until we upgrade, which probably won't be for a year. I returned the RocketFish Wireless Mouse and bought a 50ft Eternet cable. Chris and I extended the hole in the molding to run the wire through. It turned out a little too big but the head of the ethernet cord was so fat that we barely got it through. This route was cheaper then getting a wireless router and the wireless xbox adapter (100).

Got tickets for Hartford and Wilkes Barre. I asked Mike if he wanted to go but then ignored him at the last minute. I didn't know if Dad was going or not and he only let us know 2 days before the game. He went into work early and it was a Wednesday night game, which worked out perfectly. Made it down to Wilkes Barre in about an hour (quicker than I thought). Asked the broad at the toll booth how to get to the arena but she told me to get off at the Wilkes Barre exit. Got lost for a minute but luckily found my way. For future reference, I know either to get off exit 168 or go past the shopping district. Hartford killed Wilkes Barre, scoring 2 short handed goals. Avery scored as well and had a few assists. No one on Hartford looked too talented and Sanguinetti was especially lacking. We wanted to go out to eat afte rthe game but Dad and Chris got lost (thanks to my shoddy directions) and it took them half an hour to get back to TGI Fridays. I got a french onion soup (thick) and steak sandwich. Chris only ordered a soup (fag). The food was pretty decent but they slimmed the menu down and it seems more like a steak house now.

Holly and I were going to go food shopping on the weekend but I scrapped it because I didn't feel like dealing with Walmart on a Saturday and it's in Allentown. We went to Kmart where we got two paintings and some other random junk. I promised Holly Panera so we went down there and had a nice lunch. We bought a Bagel Pack and it's very nice to have fresh bagels in the house. Got the Tomato Basil spread and it wasn't very good. Holly wanted to go to Five and Below and Jeremy and I headed to Dicks to waste some time. I rode around the store on a full suspension Diamondback and you could definitely feel the back shock kick in. I definitely want one now. Putted on the putting green and tried out a few tents. Met Holly in Burlington Coat factory. We bought a few knick knack type things for the house. Headed to Best Buy, missed the turn, changed my mind and headed home. Watched the Rangers kill the Avalanche and watched W. Holly wanted me to lay with her and I did, got up intending to play Warcraft and fell asleep on the couch.

Jeremy walked in on us on Sunday. We were trying to be quiet but it didn't last and before we knew it he was laughing and asking us what were doing. It's a good thing she was still wearing shoes and her pantyhose. She went to Walmart and bought a few things for the bathroom and random junk. I went to hockey. We killed, getting the mercy rule. Tim scored at least 8 goals and I played generally like shit. I started running on the treadmill. Going to slowly work my way up to doing 3 straight miles. Maybe work towards the marathon again?

I've been playing WoW too much. Have my Warlock up to 69 and should hit 70 in a day or two. I played the Druid for a few hours and I really like him. The different combat options make it enjoyable and break up the grind of leveling. I'm going to try to get Jeremy on the druid to help me grind out a bit. Have to figure out the easiest way for him to play w/out dying. Maybe just grind green mobs? I'm going to download the WOTLK trial and see if it runs on this computer. I doubt it. I've been toying around the idea of a new CPU for a few weeks now but don't know what to do. I'd definitely like a nice monitor as well as a new CPU but don't know if spending the money on a gaming rig is really worth it. Can I just get a cheap video card and Ram for this one? Will I use a gaming rig besides WOW?

Big Wheel was rented out so there's no Tuesday hockey for 2 weeks.

Ice Skating Rink, Laid off

Chris came over on a Friday night and I took off work so I could hang out with him. He brought the xbox and we hooked up Rock Band and were playing it for a few hours. We made a nice lasagna dinner for the family and Holly made us some brownies. The Neon was coming up for inspection so I made an appointment and Holly took it for brakes. Turned out it needed brakes and rotors. Had to pickup Holly and she and I both went to Walmart to fill a few prescriptions and to waste time until the car was done. Was looking at TV's but didn't find anything to my liking and we came home. I had read about an ice skating rink in town and put it out of my mind because of the mild weather we were having. Holly found out where it was from someone at work and Chris and I decided to take a ride over. HEAVEN!!! PURE BLISS!!! When i found it I was so extremely happy. Ran to the house to get my skates and skated for a while. Holly ran to the local hardware store to get Jeremy skates and they were on sale. Chris and I watched the All Star Skills Comp and he left. We went skating on Sunday and Jeremy loved it. He was playing hockey with a little girl. We continued to go skating almost every day that week. Took the Neon in for inspection and luckily it passed. There was an old Italian playing an accordian. He was quite good at it and even sung while he played. Jeremy covered his ears the whole time. The man said he made appearances on late night shows and Carnegie Hall and everything. Dad's skates really started to hurt my feet and I didn't go skating the following week. Then we had some nice weather and I haven't been there since.

Holly and I watched the Superbowl together after getting into a stupid fight. We ordered a pizza and just chilled out. It was a boring game and then got a lot better towards the end. I was routing for the Cardinals but had that feeling when Pittsburg got the ball back at the end they could win it. Momentum always seems to be w/ the underdog when they have possession at the end of these games. The defense just breaks down. Our next door neighbor starting shooting off fireworks.

Work was starting to get slower after the holidays and I noticed some of the full time truck guys weren't working at all. I started asking Ed for days off and he'd give us each one day off during the week and early outs when we could get them. I applied for Partial Unemployment at that point. I went to work the following Monday and took Tuesday off. Pulled my groin and wound up sitting the rest of the week off. I had gotten a bunch of phone calls from work asking me if I could come in at 3 on Thursday. They still hadn't had the right phone number and were calling Holly's parent's and my parents before finally getting this number. Was worried I was in trouble because I didn't return their phone call until late. Finally got on the phone w/ Dale and he explained that they were laying off 12 workers. As a company they got rid of 900. The way Dale explained it was that I could take supplemental dock. On the following Monday and I got a few calls from Shane and was told I had to come in to sign my paperwork or I would be fired. Called up mom and told her I was coming for dinner and then took Jeremy and we headed to Fed Ex. Spoke with Bill Collins and he explained that if I took the severance package (3000) that I could still collect unemployment. I didn't know that and even went out to the car to call Dad to see what he said. He suggested I take the part time dock but I decided to take the severance. I'm honestly just waiting to see if they try to fuck me on this one since they were offering supplemental. I really hope not. I cashed in all my vacation, said goodbye to the guys that were there and headed to Mom's for dinner. She cooked chicken marsala and shrimp scampi. Took home a boatload of leftovers.

Started playing Tuesday night hockey. It's 15 which is definitely steep but you get to play for a long time. My team went to the championship game last session but we lost a close game by 2 goals. The one guy on that blue team is a real asshole and hits everyone. I was calling him a faggot the whole time and I got raped a few times but drew a penalty. Got put on the new team (Crazy Dave) and we killed during our first game. Then I was traded to Tim's team and we won our first game against my previous team. Seth and Blake weren't there and I don't think they're coming back.

Went to Walmart w/ Holly on Friday night and had it in my head that we were getting a TV. Saw that they had a Samsung 32 for 500 and wanted it but it was Out of Stock. The same TV was on sale at Best Buy but they were also out of stock. Walmart's website didn't even have the thing listed. Oddly enough, it was up there a day later and they had limited quanities in East Stroudsburg. Needed to go there to do a big foodshopping but of course they didn't have it. Only Vizio. Big Lots has an RCA 32 for 350 so i'm either going to get that or see if I can get the Samsun somewhere else.

Unlocked all songs in Rock Band. Brought the Xbox downstairs so I could try Bad Company online. It's awesome but the TV is too fucking small. Haven't really played the xbox much. Was considering starting Bioshock but was waiting for the TV. Been playing WOW too much. Leveled up to 64 (will ding 65 tonight). Didn't think Burning Crusades would work. Was looking into buying a new comp but going to get more memory and a video card for this one. Hopefully then I can get WOTLK. I wiped this computer clean and started over. It's working well. I took Chris's Laptop to fix and got Windows on it but I can't seem to get the right drivers on it to connect to the internet. I'm supposed to get it done for him. He has Left 4 Dead on it and i'd like to try it.

Going to start working on my book this week. I have the time and am going to set goals for it. I HAVE TO TRY TO GET THIS DONE OR IT'LL KILL ME. Especially because I have the time and the unemployment is coming in (hopefully).

Holly and I went to Walmart and to Pizza Hut on friday night. We hung out Saturday and watched the 9th Gate. An alright movie. We made a nice chicken dinner on Sunday. We couldn't figure out whether or not the popper popped. It was on the underside of the chicken.
Got home from hockey and Jeremy helped me unload the groceries. He was a big help. I sent him into bed and he hit his groin on the bed post. He's up right now because Holly sent him out of bed. I'll let him stay up a bit and send him back to bed.

Rangers are playing like shit and it's real aggravating to watch. Tim gave us tickets to a Wilkes Barre game on Saturday but he was going to Scranton and staying the night and I didn't feel like driving all the way to Wilkes Barre. We're trying to go to the Hartford game which takes place in two weeks.

Was walking back from putting garbage out on curb, look up towards mountains and see a shooting star. Good timing. I was thinking to myself about how much I want to mountain bike/hike in the mountains that surround our town. Hopefully there are mountain bike trails close. Jesus freaks woke me up again today. One said he liked my shirt (which was it ain't going to lick itself). I would have them in if they came at an appropriate time. Or maybe I wouldn't. Just have to see if they ever come at an appropriate time.

Been taking early outs at work from Dennis. They're always after lunch but they help get me home a bit early without killing the paycheck too much. I heard a rumor about people collecting partial unemployment and it killed me. I have to call up unemployment office to report a scam. These fucking assholes deserve to lose their jobs if they're doing this.

Chris was supposed to come down to hang out and Holly and I were supposed to go shopping last weekend but we were hit with snow. We were supposed to get a decent accumulation but it fell really slow and only came out to be about 4 inches. Holly and I ended up watching "Life and Death 101" and then I watched "The Shark and The Eagle" after she went to bed. Played a bit of Warcraft and went to bed myself. Woke up Sunday and put on the Giants game but Holly was on the computer. I went outside and shoveled. Our driveway is bigger than I thought and having to shovel the walkway and sidewalk doesn't help. Jeremy came outside w/ me. We threw snowballs for a bit but I was ready to go in. Holly got dressed up nice for me so we left Jeremy on the computer to play games while we went into the bedroom. We ran to K mart and bought a new rug (may be too small), a rug for Jeremy's room and Jeremy picked out a few toys w/ his Xmas money. I came home and went to hockey. I played decent. Been play a little better every week. We played the worst team. Next week starts playoffs. I hope they restructure the teams because the one team can't even compete. Our team is the strongest. We have all the pieces we need to win.

Yesterday went to post office, bank and took the car for an oil change and new tire. The oil change took about 30 mins but getting the tire changed at Walmart took 2 hours. Fucking incompetent assholes. I had to rush home to get ready for work and Holly was worried because I forgot my cellphone and she didn't know where we were. What a shitty day.

Been playing Warcraft every day. I'm up to level 39. I want Chris to play with me and even offered to buy the game for him. I want to level another character w/ him and then get free levels for another character. I love the game, just wish there was more strategy to it. But the random drops make it very addictive. Looking forward to getting the 360 back so I can play the new games. Got my Rock Band 2 drums in the mail. I may buy Battlefield and Condemned and Ninja Gaiden this weekend. Best Buy is having a game sale. We'll see though.
